Research Interest:
The optical properties of seawater constituents, in particular measurements and modeling of light scattering and absorption by particles. The use of fluorescence as an indicator of algal biomass, primary productivity, and physiological state. Modeling of microalgal photosynthesis and growth. Remote sensing of the marine environment.
